According to his breeders, from the time he was in the nest, this little monkey dog has been just that, STUNNING. His registration name with the American Kennel Club, "Tamarin Tug", came from his breeders, Terry and Jackie Stacy of Tamarin. Under the registered name of Tamarin, Terry and Jackie have bred many Affenpinscher champions and are well known in the breed.
The owners of this stunning dog, Phil and Patty Smith, named him TASER , in honor of their sons' company, TASER International, the world leader in electronic defense system technology. TASER's name quickly became his trademark.
TASER's handlers, Jorge and Susie Olivera, are top handlers located in AZ and are well known for their skill, hard work and dedication. As of this writing, they have piloted TASER to a top 20 Dog among all breeds.
Also included in TASER's impressive record are the following achievements: Number 3 Toy, Number 1 Affenpinscher, 2 time FCI Group Winner at the 2007 World Shows, 2007 World Champion, 2007 Las Americas Champion, American and Mexican Champion, 2008 NUMBER 1 TOY, NUMBER 3 DOG AMONG ALL BREEDS, PURINA PRO-PLAN TOY OF THE YEAR, 2008 & 2009 National Specialty winner.
As of September 29, 2009 he has 65 Bests In Show, surpassing the old time record for the breed of 41 and 223 Group Firsts. AS OF SEPTEMBER 2009 TASER IS THE TOP WINNING DOG IN THE BREED HISTORY!
His heritage speaks for itself. His pedigree is packed with AKC Champion Affens, including the top-winning male and female in breed history. It's no wonder he's been so well received by the fancy. As they say, "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree". Time will tell if he surpasses the records of his ancestors. Of course, we believe he can and will.
The Affenpinscher has a unique head and expression, temperament and character. The Affen is called the monkey-like terrier, and in France referred to as the "Diablotin Moustachu" or the mustached little devil. TASER represents the Affenpinscher in the ideal way, His size, 10 l/2" at the withers, conforms to the standard, as do his square proportions, and compact body with medium bone. His round, dark, brilliant eyes are full of personality. His prominent lower lip sits just below his black nose adding to that monkey like look. Hair on his body is dense and harsh, about 1" in length. Longer hair on the head, eyebrows, and beard stands off and frames his face, emphasizing his monkey-like expression.
It is likely you will see this little monkey dog acting just like a monkey. His slightly curved tail (prehensile in a way) never stops wagging, entertaining his fans ringside and the judge who has the opportunity to view him up close and personal. Jumping and playing, adding comedy to the scene, is so very correct and typical of the Affenpinscher , and TASER epitomizes these qualities.
When you see all this and more you will see why his call name is TASER. He is just that ...... STUNNING. |
